Straight advice, better rates, in your corner.
I'm Garry Sidhu, licensed in Ontario for six years with Akal Mortgages Inc.. My job is simple: understand your goal, shop 88+ lenders, and tell you the truth about your best option — even when it isn't me.
I'm not here to sell you a mortgage
Here's something you don't expect to hear from a broker: I've told plenty of clients to take their bank's offer. If your bank is genuinely giving you the better deal, I'll say so — and I'll show you why. My job isn't to sell you a product. My job is to point you in the right direction, even when that direction isn't me.
I believe honesty and transparency go a long way. When you help someone properly at the moment they actually need it, they remember — they come back at renewal, and they send their family and friends. That's how this business was built: on referrals — most clients come to me because someone I'd already helped sent them, and 70 of them have said so publicly on Google.
Why a broker at all, then?
Because your bank can only offer you its own products. I compare 88+ banks, credit unions and specialty lenders against each other — and when one of them beats your bank, you win. It costs you nothing: on most residential mortgages the lender pays my compensation, not you.
What you can expect
- Fast, honest answers. No jargon, no runaround — just clear guidance on what you qualify for.
- Options, not pressure. I lay out the trade-offs so you can decide with confidence.
- Someone who picks up. Mortgages move fast; I respond in minutes, not days.
- Solutions when it's complicated. Self-employed, new to Canada, bruised credit — I've got lenders for that.
Licensed & accountable
I operate under Akal Mortgages Inc. (FSRA Brokerage Licence #10845) as a licensed Mortgage Broker (Licence #M21004814), regulated by FSRA (Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario). You're always working with a licensed, accountable professional.
