Garry Sidhu Mortgages, operating under Akal Mortgages Inc. (FSRA Brokerage Licence #10845), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Information we collect
- Information you give us through forms, calculators, chat, WhatsApp, phone or email — such as your name, contact details, and general mortgage information (loan type, amount, timeframe, property location).
- Sensitive financial information (such as your Social Insurance Number, income documents, or banking details) is never collected through website forms or email. It is collected only when you begin a formal application through our secure, encrypted lender portal (MortgageBoss).
- Usage information collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools (see “Cookies & analytics”).
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide mortgage brokerage services.
- To match you with suitable lenders and products across our lender network (with your consent).
- To contact you by phone, email and text about your inquiry, as permitted under CASL.
- To improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
Who we share it with
We share your information only as needed to serve you, including:
- Lenders and mortgage insurers, when you apply for or consent to a mortgage application.
- Service providers that operate our tools on our behalf — including our client-management system (Go High Level), our email-notification provider, and website analytics. These providers process data under contract and only for the purposes we specify.
- Authorities, where required by law or regulation (including FSRA).
We do not sell your personal information.
Consent (CASL)
When you submit a form, you consent to be contacted by phone, email and text regarding your inquiry. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying “unsubscribe,” contacting us at garrysidhu@akal.ca, or calling (437) 961-0004.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) to understand site usage and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data security & retention
